Bats at the Beach

This humorously illustrated book shows bats taking advantage of a full moon to enjoy a night at the beach, complete with moonscreen, swimming, picnics, singing and toasted bug-mallows around the campfire, and enjoying the snack bar, before they head home at dawn. The bats look surprisingly human, from their expressions to their clothes, even down to their food (well, maybe not—do “Skeeter Krisps “ appeal to humans?). A delightful choice for youngsters, with plenty of appeal for older readers as well. Demeter
