Dear Fish

As always, I'm a sucker for great art in childrens' literature and Chris Gall's Dear Fish has some of the most striking art that I've seen in a while! The rich tones of the pictures beautifully complement the text which is heavy with wonderful descriptive vocabulary. The drawings allow the reader to draw their own conclusions about the progression of the story--which is absurd in the same way that Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is delightful. If you are making a Christmas list, this in one book that will not disappoint a child expecting a video game! -Rhiannon
