The Toy Farmer by Andrew Pelletier

While this story is absolutely adorable, I just didn't love the art. The illustrator, Scott Nash, did the drawings for Cows Going Past, a favorite of mine so I was a bit disappointed in the book in that respect. I know it's a bit unfair but I do feel that story and art need to mesh to create a true classic...

The Surprise by Sylvia van Ommen

This charming story of friendship(and weight loss) will please any child. This story is wordless, allowing the reader to experience the story without input from an adult.

Good Morning China by hu yong yi

What a beautiful book! Gorgeous gorgeous paintings illustrate this lovely simple tale of a morning in the park. A charming addition.
